Recycling - It's easier than you think!
Think recycling is hard work or confusing? Well, good news! Recycling requirements have changed over the years making it even simpler for you to take part. You no longer have to remove labels or keep track of many other recycling rules. Most items can just be dropped in the appropriate bin!
Did you know...?
Massachusetts prohibits the disposal of the following items:
Paper and cardboard
Bottles and cans
Leaves and yard waste
TVs and computers
Large home appliances
Be sure to keep these items out of your trash. For details on how to recycle them call 508-634-2203 ext. 222 or www.CLEANUP.org
Your efforts are making a difference!
Last year, Hopedale collected more than 675 tons of recyclables. That included enough paper to save 9,214 trees and enough plastic soda bottles to make 2,856 fleece jackets. Enough energy was saved by recycling aluminum cans to run a refrigerator for 772 days. You have helped make our recycling program a success. With your continued commitment, we will achieve our recyclng goals.
Keep up the good work!
