Tennis Assistants (2 seasonal positions available)
Projected Startdate: Last day of school - on or about June 25, 2012
Work Location: Town Park tennis courts
Hours: Approx. 20 hrs pr/week, 8-10 Weeks, Weekday mornings and afternoons,
(some evenings possible), late June to mid August. Reports to Summer Tennis Director.
Primary Responsibilities: Assist the Tennis Director overseeing and instructing
boys and girls on basic tennis fundmentals including tennis strokes, footwork, court
positioning, game strategy and etiquette. Also helps oversee and chaperone home
& away exhibition matches,field trips, and in-town tournament play.
Requirements: Successful candidate must be outgoing, enjoy working outdoors,
possess a good rapport working with children and adults, and be open to possible rotating
hours. Previous volunteer work in our program, having played varsity high school
tennis, or work experience instructing in a tennis or similar recreational program a plus.
Wage: TBD (non-exempt)
