Board of Selectmen Minutes
June 18, 2007
Chm. Arcudi convened the meeting and moved into the agenda. Present: Louis Arcudi Chm., Michael Collins, Alan Ryan Selectmen; Eugene Phillips Town Coordinator, Lisa Pedroli, Barbara Walls Treasurer, Artie Maggiore videographer.
MSDV to accept regular and executive session minutes for June 4, 2007.
MSDV to approve Mass. Chapter 90 Funds.
The Selectmen briefly discussed correspondence regarding the safety concerns with the Rail Road Bridge located on Hopedale Street. Funds have been approved but before the bridge can be raised or moved aside the Town needs contact the owners or the Rail Road.
Mr. Ryan noted that Comcast Cable will be sponsoring a charity motorcycle ride for the Boys and Girls Club of New England on August 26, 2007 and will be traveling on Hartford Ave in Mendon.
MSDV to appoint Claudette Hughes to the Draper Reuse Committee.
MSDV to approve Roll Over Bonds. This is a rollover of previously approved borrowings for the Water Mains June 21, 2005 Article 19 - $63,000.00 and Sewer DEP) November 8, 2005 Article 9, October 24, 2006 Article 1 $200,000.00 and new approved borrowings Fire Truck May 16, 2006 Article 36 - $580,000.00, Sewer (DEP) November 14, 2006 Article 8 $150,000.00. Original borrowing is due and payable on June 29, 2007 for $830,000.00. These bans were done with state house notes which is less costly for the town.
Robert Kilroy, Marc Terry and Steve Madaus of Mirick, O’Connell came before the Board to interview for the position of Town Counsel.
