Good Samaritan Award

Lieutenant Jake Shane was a member of the Fire Department and served the Town of Hopedale with pride and dignity for many years. Lt Shane was someone who always went above and beyond the normal duties of a Firefighter. In October 2017 Lt Shane passed away from cancer.

In January of 2019 the Hopedale Fire Department established the Lieutenant Jake Shane Good Samaritan Award to be awarded to a member of the community who went above and beyond to help in a given situation.
