The Hopedale Fire Department conducts various public education presentations throughout each year. Primarily, our progams are funded through the Massachusetts Department of Fire Services Student Awareness of Fire Education (SAFE) Program Grants. There are currently two grants available: SAFE and Senior SAFE. The SAFE grant is primarily intended for students enrolled in Pre-K through 12th Grade, while the Senior SAFE Grant is intended for elderly residents who reside within our service area over the age of 65.

Our department has multiple SAFE Educators trained through the Massachusetts Fire Academy to develop a and present a curriculum. Our Public Education Division works closely with the Health Teachers are Hopedale Memorial Elementary School and Hopedale Junior/Senior High School as well as the School Nurse at Bright Beginings School to ensure that all students recieve Fire and Life Safety Training annually. Our educators see over 1,000 students annually in our school system.
