Zero Tolerance Policy on Vandalism

Preserving the Trust

The Park Commission takes its responsibility to protect and preserve our Parklands, Playgrounds, Fields, and Facilities seriously.  It is our duty to you, the taxpayer who have elected us to serve, and to those who have gone before us over the past century, to create and maintain our unique recreational areas.
We will continue to work closely with the Hopedale Police and other Town departments to investigate each and every act of vandalism that occurs within the Park system.  We will seek reparations and/or the utmost penalty under the law against anyone who willfully, purposefully or maliciously destroys, vandalizes, or otherwise defaces Town property - YOUR property- whose care is entrusted to us.

This Policy also applies to acts by individuals, or pets under their care, whose failure to follow Town laws/bylaws endangers, hampers or otherwise prohibits others from safely enjoying our recreational facilities.

Should you witness vandalism or encounter disruptive individuals or loose animals anywhere within the Park system, immediately contact the Hopedale Police Dept. (508-473-8444 - 911 in case of injury). You may also send specific details to the Park Commission via email.

With your help and involvement we can continue our mission of Preserving the Trust for generations to come.
