Heating Your Home

Do you need help heating your home? Fuel assistance is a federally funded program that assists income eligible households in paying for home heating costs. Eligibility is based upon “gross” yearly income. Heating assistance can be oil, electric or gas.

New application for the 2023 - 2024 season will be available November 1, 2023.

There are additional benefits available to those who are found eligible for fuel assistance from Verizon and Mass Electric. Energy conservation services on your home and possibly repairs to your heating, system, sewer and water discounts may also be available. Applications for the next fuel season will be available at the Senior Center effective November 1, 2023. The Fuel Assistance season runs from November 1 to April 30 (in the following year). Call (508) 634-2208 for an appointment. The Council on Aging assists all Hopedale residents regardless of age with their Fuel Assistance applications.
